Put a rent checker on your site — in your branding, on your terms.
Give your members a free tool to check whether a rent increase is fair — embedded on your own website, fully white-labelled. You control the branding, what it shows, and which domains can use it. Free for tenant and renter unions.
Three steps. Live in minutes.
Configure & brand it
Set your name, logo, colour and theme. Write the heading, choose which parts of the result show, and add your own call-to-action.
Lock it to your domains
Add the domains allowed to display your widget. Enforced server-side, so your branded checker only runs where you say it can.
Paste one snippet
Copy the embed code and drop it into your site. It resizes itself to fit and works on any CMS — WordPress, Squarespace, plain HTML.
Build your widget
Configure it below and watch the live preview update. Sign in to save and get your copy-paste embed code.

Who can use it
Lock the widget to your own domains. Leave blank to allow it anywhere.
One domain per line (subdomains are included automatically). When set, the widget only runs when embedded on these sites — anywhere else shows a short “not licensed here” notice instead of the tool.
Information only — not legal advice. Market estimates are indicative. For housing advice contact Shelter or Citizens Advice.
A member service without the build.
Fully white-label
Your name, logo, colour and theme. Switch the 'Powered by RentCharter' credit off entirely for a clean white-label, or keep it as a quiet thank-you.
Show only what you want
Toggle the plain-English verdict, the market-range chart, the suggested next steps and a call-to-action button independently. Build the exact result your members need.
You control access
A per-widget domain allow-list, enforced on our servers, means your branded checker only runs on the sites you approve.
Private by design
Anonymous: no account, no cookies in your members' browsers, no individual records. The hard maths runs on our servers and stays off your page.
- Free for tenant and renter unions — no per-use charge, no cap
- Information-only tool: every result is clearly labelled as not legal advice
- Calibrated to ONS Private Rental Market Statistics and VOA local authority data
- We never sell or share individual data
Questions unions ask.
Is it really free for renter unions?
Yes. The embeddable rent checker is free for tenant and renter unions and other not-for-profit renter organisations. There's no per-use charge and no cap. We'd love a link back, but the 'Powered by RentCharter' credit is removable if you want a full white-label.
How is it white-labelled?
You set your organisation's name, logo, accent colour and a light or dark theme. You write the heading and intro, choose which parts of the result to show, and can point a call-to-action button at your own help page. The widget renders entirely in your branding.
How do we control who can use it?
Each widget has a domain allow-list. When you add your domains, the widget only runs when it's embedded on those sites — anywhere else it shows a short 'not licensed here' notice instead of the tool. Leave the list blank to allow it anywhere. Domain rules are enforced on our servers, not just in the browser.
What does the checker actually do?
It compares a member's current and proposed rent against local market evidence calibrated to ONS Private Rental Market Statistics and VOA local authority data, and gives a plain-English verdict plus suggested next steps. It's an information tool, clearly labelled as not legal advice.
Where does members' data go?
The widget is anonymous — no account, no cookies set in your members' browsers, and rent inputs aren't tied to anyone. The figures are computed on our servers and returned to the widget; we don't sell data or share individual records.
